Under-Stairs Toilet Conversion – Space-Saving Ingenuity
This project involved transforming a cramped under-stair storage area into a fully functional and stylish downstairs toilet. Our client wanted to maximise unused space without compromising on comfort or functionality.
We began by carefully routing new soil pipes and plumbing them directly into the existing mains drainage. To bring natural light into the small area, we knocked through the exterior wall and installed a compact window, blending seamlessly with the property’s brickwork. Discreet cabling was laid for both an extractor fan and lighting to ensure everything remained neat and visually unobtrusive.
Due to the limited space, we installed a custom folding door—an efficient choice that allowed us to maximise room within the narrow footprint. With sleek tiling, a modern toilet unit, and a clean, practical finish, this under-stairs conversion proves that even the tightest spaces can be transformed into something genuinely useful and stylish.
